We are all sharers of God’s light, and yes, we ourselves choose the intensity in which we shine.
It’s in the strength of our spiritual core that determines if we’re a faint flickering candle, a hundred watt bulb, or yes, a stadium spotlight. If our core is weak, splintered or just plain broken, then our light is dimmed, and yes, in turn interferes with our effectiveness in sharing His light.
Bottom line – the degree in which we allow His light to transform our own lives – determines how far our light shines in the darkness around us.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” Matthew 5: 14-16
