God tell us to ‘pray without ceasing’ – no matter the circumstance, we are to trust in Him, and yes, patiently wait.
Yes, these can be difficult tasks, oh but friends, they are mighty and powerful Words from He Himself, who yes, wants nothing more than to give each of us our heart desires.
My friend Brenda lost her cat at Monet Monet when we had to evacuate our neighborhood from the fires. She and Roger came and joined us in Grayton until we could go home. She brought her animals – had her cat cages lined up on the porch and somehow “Oreo” got our during the night. What a sad morning it was for my friends as they combed the streets in search of her sweet cat that could nowhere be found.
They made signs, put them at every corner, blasted social media, went to Grayton daily calling her name, and yes, prayed without ceasing. Brenda never once gave up hope and every night before going to sleep she would ask God – to please bring her Oreo home.
My phone rang about an hour ago – she didn’t mean to call me – she was sending pictures, – OREO IS HOME!
The sweet girls at Grayton Corner Store saw her when they came to open and knew it was her – collar in tact – called B and held her Oreo tight while waiting for them to be reunited. Thank you ladies for the love you’ve shown my friend, and yes, most importantly allowing Him to use you – to bring them back together.
The combination of the action of – not giving up, praying without ceasing, and yes, giving thanks in all circumstances – even when it’s hard, has change a life today. I’m grateful to have gotten that call, and yes, to have heard that voice of pure delight, and yes, massive gratefulness this morning – a wonderful wake up to start the week!
Thank you to all those who have prayed and shared and prayed and shared for this to happen – they never fell on deaf ears or blind eyes – she just had to show up at the right spot, at the right time, for yes, His timing is always right on time.
Our faith grows as we are forced to wait and trust in Him, so that yes, He, and He alone, gets the glory and praise for pulling us through – and Oreo too!
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period
